The Industrial Electronic Society's periodicals include applications-oriented news letter that foster active communication between practitioners and the research community, and research-oriented transactions that document the state of the art in industrial electronics. Transactions

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics

The transaction encompasses all practical aspects of theory and methods of electronics, control systems, and instrumentation for industrial applications. Included are techniques for practical control and signal processing, factory automation, fault detection and diagnosis, instrumentation, modeling and simulation, motion control, powers systems, robotics systems, sensors, and actuators, measurement and testing, used of neural nets, use of fuzzy logic and artificial intelligence in industrial systems.

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics

The transaction focuses on knowledge-based factory automation as a means to enhance industrial fabrication and manufacturing processes. This embraces a collection of techniques that use information analysis, manipulation, and distribution to achieve higher efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and/or security within the industrial environment. The scope of the Transaction includes reporting, defining, providing a forum for discourse, and informing its readers about the latest developments in intelligent and computer control systems, robotics, factory communications and automation, flexible manufacturing, vision systems, and data acquisition and signal processing.

IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics

The transaction is a joint publication of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The aim of the present Transactions is to establish a high quality archival journal which presents the state of the art, recent advances and practical applications of mechatronics.

IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems

The transaction is a joint publication of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society and The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The Journal deals with areas of Micromechanics, Microdynamics and Microelectro-mechanical Systems MEMS. Contains articles on small devices from microns to millimeters; microfabrication techniques; microphenomena; microbearings, and microsystems; theoretical, computational, modeling and control results; new materials and designs; tribology; microtelemanipulation; and applications to biomedical engineering, optics, fluidics, etc.

IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing

The transaction is a new quarterly journal for publishing archival research results related to mobility of users, systems, data, and computing as well as issues in information organization and access, services, management, and applications.

Conferences

Industrial Electronics Magazine

Industrial Electronics Newsletter contains current information about IEEE Industrial Electronic Society activities and tutorial papers about current research trends. Since 2002 the newsletter is distributed only in electronic form by Web site postings and IES member e-mail list.
