STUDENT TRAVEL
GRANTS AVAILABLE
The IES Student Activities Committee offers financial aid for students
to attend IES Major Conferences. For the running year we have allocated
20 grants of $500 each to be distributed in the following way:

10 to participate in IECON'2001
-
10 to participate in ISIE'2001
In order to participate in this program the applicants must fulfill
the following conditions:

Be an active IEEE-IES Student Member
-
Reside outside the city in which the conference is held.

Have a paper accepted at the Conference and be the person who will present
it.

No more than one grant will be allocated for one paper, or the one person
in the same year.
Students interested in this program should submit a Resume together with
a copy of the accepted paper. They should indicate their IEEE membership
number and the reference number of the paper. Submit all the material by
e-mail (e-mail is prefered in ps or pdf formats), or air mail to:

Deadline for IECON'2001 is August 1, 2001.
All the material will be evaluated by a Committee constituted by the
Chair of IES Student Activities Committee, IES President, Conference General
Chair, and IES Treasurer
In case the number of applicants exceeds the budget, preference will
be given to:
-
Students with the best qualified papers according with the review of each
conference.
-
Students who have not benefited from this scheme in the last two years.
